Privacy Policy — Homepair

Last updated: July 2026

Homepair ("the App") is developed by Adlyne Studio ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how, in plain language. Homepair is a home maintenance reminder app for Android.

No account required

Homepair does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information (name, email, phone number) to use the App. There is no login screen and no user profile stored on our servers — because we don't operate any servers that store your data.

Where your data lives

All the tasks, categories, due dates, and completion history you create in Homepair are stored locally on your device only, in a private database that only the App can access. We do not upload, sync, or have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, this data is permanently deleted from your device.

Backup file (optional, user-initiated)

Homepair lets you export a backup of your tasks as a JSON file, and restore one later. This file is created and saved only when you actively choose to do so, and only to a location you pick yourself (e.g. your device storage or a cloud drive app you already have installed). Homepair does not automatically upload this file anywhere, and we never see its contents.

Permissions the App requests

PermissionWhy we need it
NotificationsTo show you maintenance reminders at the time you choose. No notification content is sent to us or anyone else.
Exact/background alarmsTo trigger reminders reliably, even when the App isn't open.
Battery optimization exemption (optional)Only if you choose to enable it in Settings, to make reminders more reliable on devices with aggressive battery management.

Third-party services

Homepair uses the following third-party services, which may collect data as described in their own privacy policies:

ServicePurposeTheir privacy policy
Google AdMob Displays ads in the free version of the App. May use advertising identifiers to show relevant ads, depending on the consent you give in the in-app consent form (EU/UK/EEA users, via Google's User Messaging Platform). policies.google.com/privacy
Google Play Billing Processes the one-time "premium unlock" purchase. Payment details are handled entirely by Google Play — we never see or store your payment information. policies.google.com/privacy

Advertising and consent (EU/UK/EEA users)

On first launch, users in regions covered by GDPR/UK data protection law are shown a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before any personalized ads are shown. You can choose to allow only non-personalized ads, or purchase the premium unlock to remove ads entirely.

Children's privacy

Homepair is not directed at children and is not designed for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Deleting your data

You can delete all your data at any time from within the App: Settings → Reset → Delete everything. Uninstalling the App also permanently removes all locally stored data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time (for example, if we add a new feature that changes what data is handled). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
